Blackout

During WWII six Navy pilots left their aircraft carrier on a mission. After searching the seas for enemy submarines, they tried to return to their ship shortly after dark. But the captain had ordered a blackout of all lights on the ship. Over and over the frantic pilots radioed, asking for just one light so they could see to land. But the pilots were told that the blackout could not be lifted. After several appeals and denials of their request, the ship’s operator turned the switch to break radio contact--and the pilots were forced to ditch in the ocean.

A father's influence to the world

Many years ago a small Jewish boy asked his father, "Why must we surrender our Jewish faith and start to attend Lutheran services here in Germany'

The father replied, "Son, we must abandon our faith so that people will accept us and support our business adventures!"

The young lad never got over his disappointment and bitterness. His faith in his father and in his religion were crushed. When the lad left Germany he went to England to study at the British Museum where he formed his philosophies for life. From those intensive investigations he wrote a book that changed the world called, "The Communist Manifesto.

From that book one-third of the world fell under the spell of Marxist-Lenist ideology. The name of that little boy was Karl Marx. He influenced billions into a stream that for 70 years ruined, imprisoned and confused many lives. Today, that system of thinking is crumbling, but only after people got a good look at its tragic consequences. The influence of this father's hypocrisy multiplied in infamy. Without godly faith, all of us are subject to distortions in our perspectives.

Abandoned

18 people went hunting for 6 days without success. On the 7th day and at about 5.30PM. they were fortunate to hunt down a very fat buffalo. Tired and weary the eighteen people sighed and counted their blessings. Many miles from home, in a thick forest and with an animal which weighed several hundred Kilograms, the hunters felt exteamly lucky. At a glance they all felt they would be welcomed back at home since their mission had been fulfilled. However, one of the eighteen excused himself and went at a distance to relieve himself. When he returned the poor hunter found the catch was still lying there but his collegues missing. The hunter looked up and around but there was no sight of his collegues. The poor hunter ran away in fear of what may have befallen his mates leaving the catch and running for what he termed his dear life. Likewise Christians start up a mission with others and when the going suffers and they feel unrecogonized they withdraw and abandon God's work.
