David Becomes King

11:1 All Israel joined David at Hebron and said, “Look, we are your very flesh and blood! 1 

1 Chronicles 16:35

16:35 Say this prayer: 2  “Deliver us, O God who delivers us!

Gather us! Rescue us from the nations!

Then we will give thanks 3  to your holy name,

and boast about your praiseworthy deeds.” 4 

1 Chronicles 13:2

13:2 David said to the whole Israelite assembly, “If you so desire and the Lord our God approves, 5  let’s spread the word 6  to our brothers who remain in all the regions of Israel, and to the priests and Levites in their cities, 7  so they may join us.
