12:1 These were the men who joined David in Ziklag, when he was banished ¹  from the presence of Saul son of Kish. (They were among the warriors who assisted him in battle.

Nehemiah 11:28

11:28 in Ziklag, in Meconah and its villages,

² tn Heb “and the second lot came out for Simeon, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon by their clans.”

³ tn Heb “For you will cause these people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give to them.” The pronoun “them” at the end of the verse refers to either the people or to the fathers.
