1 Chronicles 12:18

12:18 But a spirit¹ empowered² Amasai, the leader of the thirty warriors, and he said:³

“We are yours, O David!

We support⁴ you, O son of Jesse!

May you greatly prosper!⁵

May those who help you prosper!⁶

Indeed⁷ your God helps you!”

So David accepted them and made them leaders of raiding bands.

1 Chronicles 18:10

18:10 he sent his son Hadoram⁸ to King David to extend his best wishes⁹ and to pronounce a blessing on him for his victory over Hadadezer, for Tou had been at war with Hadadezer.¹⁰ He also sent various items made of gold, silver, and bronze.¹¹

1 Chronicles 22:5

22:5 David said, “My son Solomon is just an inexperienced young man,¹² and the temple to be built for the Lord must be especially magnificent so it will become famous and be considered splendid by all the nations.¹³ Therefore I will make preparations for its construction.” So David made extensive preparations before he died.

22:9 Look, you will have a son, who will be a peaceful man.¹⁴ I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side.¹⁵ Indeed, Solomon¹⁶ will be his name; I will give Israel peace and quiet during his reign.¹⁷

1 Chronicles 28:9

28:9 “And you, Solomon my son, obey¹⁸ the God of your father and serve him with a submissive attitude and a willing spirit,¹⁹ for the Lord examines all minds and understands every motive of one’s thoughts. If you seek him, he will let you find him,²⁰ but if you abandon him, he will reject you permanently.
