1 Chronicles 16:18

16:18 saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan

as the portion of your inheritance.”

1 Chronicles 22:9

22:9 Look, you will have a son, who will be a peaceful man. 1  I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. 2  Indeed, Solomon 3  will be his name; I will give Israel peace and quiet during his reign. 4

3 sn The name Solomon (שְׁלֹמֹה, shÿlomoh) sounds like (and may be derived from) the Hebrew word for “peace” (שָׁלוֹם, shalom).
