17:20 O Lord, there is none like you; there is no God besides you! What we heard is true! ¹ 

1 Chronicles 17:25

17:25 for you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a dynasty ²  for him. That is why your servant has had the courage to pray to you. ³ 

1 Chronicles 28:8

28:8 So now, in the sight of all Israel, the Lord’s assembly, and in the hearing of our God, I say this: ⁴  Carefully observe ⁵  all the commands of the Lord your God, so that you may possess this good land and may leave it as a permanent inheritance for your children after you.

¹ tn The Hebrew text reads literally, “in all which we heard with our ears,” but בְּכֹל (bÿkhol, “in all”) should probably be emended to כְּכֹל (kÿkhol, “according to all”).
