12:29 He put one in Bethel ¹  and the other in Dan. 12:30 This caused Israel to sin; ²  the people went to Bethel and Dan to worship the calves. ³ 

1 Kings 4:25

4:25 All the people of Judah and Israel had security; everyone from Dan to Beer Sheba enjoyed the produce of their vines and fig trees throughout Solomon’s lifetime. ⁴ 

1 Kings 15:20

15:20 Ben Hadad accepted King Asa’s offer and ordered his army commanders to attack the cities of Israel. ⁵  They conquered ⁶  Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maacah, and all the territory of Naphtali, including the region of Kinnereth. ⁷

³ tc The MT reads “and the people went before the one to Dan.” It is likely that some words have been accidentally omitted and that the text originally said, “and the people went before the one at Bethel and before the one at Dan.”
