1 Kings 2:33

2:33 May Joab and his descendants be perpetually guilty of their shed blood, but may the Lord give perpetual peace to David, his descendants, his family, ¹  and his dynasty.” ² 

1 Kings 11:15-16

11:15 During David’s campaign against Edom, ³  Joab, the commander of the army, while on a mission to bury the dead, killed every male in Edom. 11:16 For six months Joab and the entire Israelite army ⁴  stayed there until they had exterminated every male in Edom. ⁵
