1 Kings 21:7

1 tn The Hebrew term translated “Lord” here and in v.15 is אֲדֹנָי (’adonay).

5 tc Many Hebrew mss agree with the Qere in reading simply “God.”

6 tn Heb “make the name of Solomon better than your name, and make his throne greater than your throne.” The term שֵׁם (shem, “name”) is used here of one’s fame and reputation.

7 tn Or “bowed down; worshiped.”

5 tn Heb “You, now, you are exercising kingship over Israel.”
