7:10 As Samuel was offering burnt offerings, the Philistines approached to do battle with Israel. 1 But on that day the Lord thundered loudly against the Philistines. He caused them to panic, and they were defeated by 2 Israel.
7:14 The cities that the Philistines had captured from Israel were returned to Israel, from Ekron to Gath. Israel also delivered their territory from the control 3 of the Philistines. There was also peace between Israel and the Amorites.
17:26 David asked the men who were standing near him, “What will be done for the man who strikes down this Philistine and frees Israel from this humiliation? 4 For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he defies the armies of the living God?”
17:52 Then the men of Israel and Judah charged forward, shouting a battle cry. 7 They chased the Philistines to the valley 8 and to the very gates of Ekron. The Philistine corpses lay fallen along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron.
