1 Samuel 7:8-9

7:8 The Israelites said to Samuel, “Keep ¹  crying out to the Lord our ²  God so that he may save us ³  from the hand of the Philistines!” 7:9 So Samuel took a nursing lamb ⁴  and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord. Samuel cried out to the Lord on Israel’s behalf, and the Lord answered him.

1 Samuel 8:18

8:18 In that day you will cry out because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord won’t answer you in that day.” ⁵ 

1 Samuel 14:20

14:20 Saul and all the army that was with him assembled and marched into battle, where they found ⁶  the Philistines in total panic killing one another with their swords. ⁷ 

1 Samuel 28:12

28:12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out loudly. ⁸  The woman said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul!”
