1 Thessalonians 1:10

1:10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath. ¹ 

Hebrews 6:18

6:18 so that we who have found refuge in him ²  may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.

¹ sn The coming wrath. This wrath is an important theme in 1 Thess 5.

² tn Grk “have taken refuge”; the basis of that refuge is implied in the preceding verse.
