1:7 That night God appeared ¹  to Solomon and said to him, “Tell me ²  what I should give you.”

2 Chronicles 6:42

2 Chronicles 15:6

15:6 One nation was crushed by another, and one city by another, for God caused them to be in great turmoil. ⁴

³ tc Heb “do not turn away the face of your anointed ones.” Many medieval Hebrew mss, as well as the ancient versions, read the singular, “your anointed,” which would probably refer to Solomon specifically, rather than the people.
