2 Chronicles 1:9

1:9 Now, Lord God, may your promise 1  to my father David be realized, 2  for you have made me king over a great nation as numerous as the dust of the earth.

2 Chronicles 18:30

18:30 Now the king of Syria had ordered his chariot commanders, “Do not fight common soldiers or high ranking officers; 3  fight only the king of Israel!”

2 Chronicles 28:10-11

28:10 And now you are planning 4  to enslave 5  the people 6  of Judah and Jerusalem. Yet are you not also guilty before the Lord your God? 28:11 Now listen to me! Send back those you have seized from your brothers, for the Lord is very angry at you!” 7 

2 Chronicles 29:10-11

29:10 Now I intend 8  to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, so that he may relent from his raging anger. 9  29:11 My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to serve in his presence and offer sacrifices.” 10

2 tn Or “be firm, established.”

3 tn Heb “small or great.”

5 tn Heb “saying.”

6 tn Heb “to enslave as male servants and female servants.”

7 tn Heb “sons.”

7 tn Heb “for the rage of the anger of the Lord is upon you.”

9 tn Heb “now it is with my heart.”

10 tn Heb “so that the rage of his anger might turn from us.” The jussive with vav (ו) conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the preceding statement of intention.

11 tn Heb “to stand before him to serve him and to be his servants and sacrificers.”
