2 Chronicles 12:7

12:7 When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, he gave this message to Shemaiah: 1  “They have humbled themselves, so I will not destroy them. I will deliver them soon. 2  My anger will not be unleashed against 3  Jerusalem through 4  Shishak.

2 Chronicles 29:34

29:34 But there were not enough priests to skin all the animals, 5  so their brothers, the Levites, helped them until the work was finished and the priests could consecrate themselves. (The Levites had been more conscientious about consecrating themselves than the priests.) 6 

1 tn Heb “the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying.”

2 tn Heb “and I will give to them soon deliverance.”

3 tn Or “gush forth upon.”

4 tn Heb “by the hand of.”

5 tn Heb “the burnt sacrifices.”

6 tn Heb “for the Levites were more pure of heart to consecrate themselves than the priests.”
