2 Chronicles 2:10

2:10 Look, I will pay your servants who cut the timber 20,000 kors ¹  of ground wheat, 20,000 kors of barley, 120,000 gallons ²  of wine, and 120,000 gallons of olive oil.”

2 Chronicles 30:24

30:24 King Hezekiah of Judah supplied 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep ³  for the assembly, while the officials supplied them ⁴  with 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep. Many priests consecrated themselves.

¹ sn As a unit of dry measure a kor was roughly equivalent to six bushels (about 220 liters).

² tn Heb “20,000 baths” (also a second time later in this verse). A bath was a liquid measure roughly equivalent to six gallons (about 22 liters), so this was a quantity of about 120,000 gallons (440,000 liters).

³ tn The Hebrew term צֹאן (ts’on, translated “sheep” twice in this verse) denotes smaller livestock in general; depending on context it can refer to sheep only or goats only, but their is nothing in the immediate context here to specify one or the other.

⁴ tn Heb “the assembly.” The pronoun “them” has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy.
