2 Chronicles 21:17

21:17 They attacked Judah and swept through it. 1  They carried off everything they found in the royal palace, 2  including his sons and wives. None of his sons was left, except for his youngest, Ahaziah.

2 Chronicles 30:6

30:6 Messengers 3  delivered the letters from the king and his officials throughout Israel and Judah.

This royal edict read: 4  “O Israelites, return to the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, so he may return 5  to you who have been spared from the kings of Assyria. 6 

2 Chronicles 34:21

34:21 “Go, seek an oracle from 7  the Lord for me and those who remain in Israel and Judah. Find out about 8  the words of this scroll that has been discovered. For the Lord’s fury has been ignited against us, 9  because our ancestors 10  have not obeyed the word of the Lord by doing all that this scroll instructs!” 11

2 tn Heb “all the property which was found in the house of the king.”

4 tn Heb “and according to the command of the king, saying.”

5 tn The jussive with vav conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the preceding imperative.

6 tn Heb “to the survivors who are left to you from the palm of the kings of Assyria.”

6 tn Heb “concerning.”

7 tn Heb “for great is the anger of the Lord which has been ignited against us.”

8 tn Heb “fathers” (also in vv. 32, 33).

9 tn Heb “by doing according to all that is written on this scroll.”
