21:6 He followed in the footsteps of the kings of Israel, just as Ahab’s dynasty had done, for he married Ahab’s daughter.¹ He did evil in the sight of² the Lord.

2 Chronicles 22:3-4

22:3 He followed in the footsteps of Ahab’s dynasty,³ for his mother gave him evil advice.⁴ 22:4 He did evil in the sight of⁵ the Lord like Ahab’s dynasty because, after his father’s death, they⁶ gave him advice that led to his destruction.

Ahaziah’s Reign

22:1 The residents of Jerusalem⁷ made his youngest son Ahaziah king in his place, for the raiding party that invaded the city with the Arabs had killed all the older sons.⁸ So Ahaziah son of Jehoram became king of Judah.

2 Chronicles 16:1-2

16:1 In the thirty-sixth year of Asa’s reign, King Baasha of Israel attacked Judah, and he established Ramah as a military outpost to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the land of King Asa of Judah.⁹ 16:2 Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of the royal palace and sent it to King Ben Hadad of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

10:1 Rehoboam traveled to Shechem, for all Israel had gathered in¹⁰ Shechem to make Rehoboam¹¹ king.
