2 Chronicles 34:13

34:13 supervised the laborers and all the foremen on their various jobs. ¹  Some of the Levites were scribes, officials, and guards.

Nehemiah 11:16

11:16 Shabbethai and Jozabad, leaders ²  of the Levites, were in charge of the external work for the temple of God;
