2 Chronicles 6:3-4

6:3 Then the king turned around 1  and pronounced a blessing over the whole Israelite assembly as they stood there. 2  6:4 He said, “The Lord God of Israel is worthy of praise because he has fulfilled 3  what he promised 4  my father David.

2 Chronicles 30:27

30:27 The priests and Levites got up and pronounced blessings on the people. The Lord responded favorably to them 5  as their prayers reached his holy dwelling place in heaven.

2 tn Heb “and he blessed all the assembly of Israel, and all the assembly of Israel was standing.”

4 tn The Hebrew text reads, “promised by his mouth,” but the phrase “by his mouth” is somewhat redundant in contemporary English and has not been translated.

5 tn Heb “and it was heard with their voice.” BDB 1034 s.v. שָׁמַע Niph.4 interprets this to mean “hearing was granted to their voice.” It is possible that the name יְהוָה (yÿhvah, “the Lord”) has been accidentally omitted.
