8:8 Their descendants remained in the land (the Israelites were unable to wipe them out). Solomon conscripted them for his work crews and they continue in that role to this very day. ¹ 

2 Chronicles 10:6

10:6 King Rehoboam consulted with the older advisers who had served ²  his father Solomon when he had been alive. He asked them, ³  “How do you advise me to answer these people?”
