2:15 When the members of the prophetic guild in Jericho, 1  who were standing at a distance, 2  saw him do this, they said, “The spirit that energized Elijah 3  rests upon Elisha.” They went to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

2 Kings 17:23

17:23 Finally 4  the Lord rejected Israel 5  just as he had warned he would do 6  through all his servants the prophets. Israel was deported from its land to Assyria and remains there to this very day.

2 Kings 23:27

23:27 The Lord announced, “I will also spurn Judah, 7  just as I spurned Israel. I will reject this city that I chose – both Jerusalem and the temple, about which I said, “I will live there.” 8 

2 Kings 23:29

23:29 During Josiah’s reign Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt marched toward 9  the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah marched out to fight him, but Necho 10  killed him at Megiddo 11  when he saw him.
