24:17 The king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s 1  uncle, king in Jehoiachin’s place. He renamed him Zedekiah.

2 Kings 17:34

17:34 To this very day they observe their earlier practices. They do not worship 2  the Lord; they do not obey the rules, regulations, law, and commandments that the Lord gave 3  the descendants of Jacob, whom he renamed Israel.

23:34 Pharaoh Necho made Josiah’s son Eliakim king in Josiah’s place, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. He took Jehoahaz to Egypt, where he died. 4
