Elisha Makes an Ax Head Float

6:1 Some of the prophets¹ said to Elisha, “Look, the place where we meet with you² is too cramped³ for us.

2 Kings 7:3

7:3 Now four men with a skin disease⁴ were sitting at the entrance of the city gate. They said to one another, “Why are we just sitting here waiting to die?⁵

2 Kings 10:4

10:4 They were absolutely terrified⁶ and said, “Look, two kings could not stop him!⁷ How can we?”⁸

2 Kings 7:9

7:9 Then they said to one another, “It’s not right what we’re doing! This is a day to celebrate, but we haven’t told anyone.⁹ If we wait until dawn,¹⁰ we’ll be punished.¹¹ So come on, let’s go and inform the royal palace.”

10:5 So the palace supervisor,¹² the city commissioner,¹³ the leaders,¹⁴ and the guardians sent this message to Jehu, “We are your subjects!¹⁵ Whatever you say, we will do. We will not make anyone king. Do what you consider proper.”¹⁶

10:13 Jehu encountered¹⁷ the relatives¹⁸ of King Ahaziah of Judah. He asked, “Who are you?” They replied, “We are Ahaziah’s relatives. We have come down to see how¹⁹ the king’s sons and the queen mother’s sons are doing.”

2 Kings 18:26

18:26 Eliakim son of Hilkiah, Shebna, and Joah said to the chief adviser, “Speak to your servants in Aramaic,²⁰ for we understand it. Don’t speak with us in the Judahite dialect²¹ in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”
