3:3 His second son ¹  was Kileab, born to Abigail the widow ²  of Nabal the Carmelite. His third son was Absalom, the son of Maacah daughter of King Talmai of Geshur.

2 Samuel 13:37

13:37 But Absalom fled and went to King Talmai son of Ammihud of Geshur. And David ³  grieved over his son every day.

2 Samuel 15:8

15:8 For I made this vow ⁴  when I was living in Geshur in Aram: ‘If the Lord really does allow me to return to Jerusalem, ⁵  I will serve the Lord.’”
