Daniel 3:24

God Delivers His Servants

3:24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was startled and quickly got up. He said to his ministers, “Wasn’t it three men that we tied up and threw 1  into 2  the fire?” They replied to the king, “For sure, O king.”

Daniel 8:17

8:17 So he approached the place where I was standing. As he came, I felt terrified and fell flat on the ground. 3  Then he said to me, “Understand, son of man, 4  that the vision pertains to the time of the end.”

Daniel 9:4

9:4 I prayed to the LORD my God, confessing in this way:

“O Lord, 5  great and awesome God who is faithful to his covenant 6  with those who love him and keep his commandments,

Daniel 11:31

11:31 His forces 7  will rise up and profane the fortified sanctuary, 8  stopping the daily sacrifice. In its place they will set up 9  the abomination that causes desolation.

5 tn The Hebrew term translated “Lord” here and in vv. 7, 9, 15, 16, and 19 is אֲדֹנָי (’adonay).

6 tn Heb “who keeps the covenant and the loyal love.” The expression is a hendiadys.

8 tn Heb “the sanctuary, the fortress.”
