Deuteronomy 1:23

1:23 I thought this was a good idea, ¹  so I sent ²  twelve men from among you, one from each tribe.

Deuteronomy 11:23

11:23 then he ³  will drive out all these nations ahead of you, and you will dispossess nations greater and stronger than you.

² tn Or “selected” (so NIV, NRSV, TEV); Heb “took.”

³ tn Heb “the Lord.” The pronoun has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons to avoid redundancy.
