1:35 “Not a single person ¹  of this evil generation will see the good land that I promised to give to your ancestors!

Deuteronomy 4:31

4:31 (for he ²  is a merciful God), he will not let you down ³  or destroy you, for he cannot ⁴  forget the covenant with your ancestors that he confirmed by oath to them.
