Deuteronomy 14:20

14:20 You may eat any clean bird.

Deuteronomy 14:19

14:19 and any winged thing on the ground are impure to you – they may not be eaten.

Deuteronomy 28:26

28:26 Your carcasses will be food for every bird of the sky and wild animal of the earth, and there will be no one to chase them off.

tc The MT reads the Niphal (passive) for expected Qal (“you [plural] must not eat”); cf. Smr, LXX. However, the harder reading should stand.
