Deuteronomy 15:14

15:14 You must supply them generously ¹  from your flock, your threshing floor, and your winepress – as the Lord your God has blessed you, you must give to them.

Deuteronomy 18:2

18:2 They ²  will have no inheritance in the midst of their fellow Israelites; ³  the Lord alone is their inheritance, just as he had told them.

¹ tn The Hebrew text uses the infinitive absolute for emphasis, which the translation indicates with “generously.”

² tn Heb “he” (and throughout the verse).

³ tn Heb “brothers,” but not referring to actual siblings. Cf. NASB “their countrymen”; NRSV “the other members of the community.”
