32:4 As for the Rock, 2 his work is perfect,
for all his ways are just.
He is a reliable God who is never unjust,
he is fair 3 and upright.
1 tn The Hebrew term translated here “abhorrent” (תּוֹעֵבָה, to’evah) speaks of attitudes and/or behaviors so vile as to be reprehensible to a holy God. See note on the word “abhorrent” in Deut 7:25.
2 tc The LXX reads Θεός (qeos, “God”) for the MT’s “Rock.”
3 tn Or “just” (KJV, NAB, NRSV, NLT) or “righteous” (NASB).
