29:28 So the Lord has uprooted them from their land in anger, wrath, and great rage and has deported them to another land, as is clear today.”

Leviticus 18:28

18:28 So do not make the land vomit you out because you defile it ¹  just as it has vomited out the nations ²  that were before you.

Leviticus 26:31-35

26:31 I will lay your cities waste ³  and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will refuse to smell your soothing aromas. 26:32 I myself will make the land desolate and your enemies who live in it will be appalled. 26:33 I will scatter you among the nations and unsheathe the sword ⁴  after you, so your land will become desolate and your cities will become a waste.

Joshua 23:16

23:16 If you violate the covenantal laws of the Lord your God which he commanded you to keep, ⁷  and follow, worship, and bow down to other gods, ⁸  the Lord will be very angry with you and you will disappear ⁹  quickly from the good land which he gave to you.”

Isaiah 6:11

6:11 I replied, “How long, sovereign master?” He said,

“Until cities are in ruins and unpopulated,

and houses are uninhabited,

and the land is ruined and devastated,

The Lord Will Judge the Earth

24:1 Look, the Lord is ready to devastate the earth

Jeremiah 44:22

44:22 Finally the Lord could no longer endure your wicked deeds and the disgusting things you did. That is why your land has become the desolate, uninhabited ruin that it is today. That is why it has become a proverbial example used in curses. ¹⁷ 

Ezekiel 33:28

33:28 I will turn the land into a desolate ruin; her confident pride will come to an end. The mountains of Israel will be so desolate no one will pass through them.

Luke 21:24

21:24 They ¹⁸  will fall by the edge ¹⁹  of the sword and be led away as captives ²⁰  among all nations. Jerusalem ²¹  will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. ²²
