Esther 4:16
4:16 “Go, assemble all the Jews who are found in Susa and fast in my behalf. Don’t eat and don’t drink for three days, night or day. My female attendants and I
1 will also fast in the same way. Afterward I will go to the king, even though it violates the law.
2 If I perish, I perish!”
Romans 5:8

Romans 16:4
16:4 who risked their own necks for my life. Not only I, but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.
Revelation 12:11
12:11 But 3 they overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony,
and they did not love their lives 4 so much that they were afraid to die.
1 tn Heb “I and my female attendants.” The translation reverses the order for stylistic reasons.
2 tn Heb “which is not according to the law” (so KJV, NASB); NAB “contrary to the law.”
3 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “but” to indicate the contrast.
4 sn They did not love their lives. See Matt 16:25; Luke 17:33; John 12:25.
