Ezekiel 15:7

15:7 I will set ¹  my face against them – although they have escaped from the fire, ²  the fire will still consume them! Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I set my face against them.

Ezekiel 44:4

44:4 Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. As I watched, I noticed ³  the glory of the Lord filling the Lord’s temple, and I threw myself face down.

¹ tn The word translated “set” is the same Hebrew word translated as “provide” in the previous verse.

² sn This escape refers to the exile of Ezekiel and others in 597 b.c. (Ezek 1:2; 2 Kgs 24:10-16).

³ tn The word הִנֵּה (hinneh, traditionally “behold”) indicates becoming aware of something and has been translated here as a verb.
