16:14 Your fame spread among the nations because of your beauty; your beauty was perfect because of the splendor which I bestowed on you, declares the sovereign Lord.

27:3 Say to Tyre, who sits at the entrance of the sea, merchant to the peoples on many coasts, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says:

“‘O Tyre, you have said, “I am perfectly beautiful.”

Ezekiel 28:12

28:12 “Son of man, sing a lament for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says:

“‘You were the sealer of perfection,

sn The description of the nation Israel in vv. 10-14 recalls the splendor of the nation’s golden age under King Solomon.

tn Heb “entrances.” The plural noun may reflect the fact that Tyre had two main harbors.
