40:44 On the outside of the inner gate were chambers for the singers of the inner court, one 1 at the side of the north gate facing south, and the other at the side of the south 2 gate facing north. 40:45 He said to me, “This chamber which faces south is for the priests who keep charge of the temple, 3 40:46 and the chamber which faces north is for the priests who keep charge of the altar. These are the descendants of Zadok, from the descendants of Levi, who may approach the Lord to minister to him.”
44:4 Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. As I watched, I noticed 4 the glory of the Lord filling the Lord’s temple, and I threw myself face down. 44:5 The Lord said to me: “Son of man, pay attention, 5 watch closely and listen carefully to 6 everything I tell you concerning all the statutes of the Lord’s house and all its laws. Pay attention to the entrances 7 to the temple with all the exits of the sanctuary.
