Ezekiel 7:14

7:14 “They have blown the trumpet and everyone is ready, but no one goes to battle, because my anger is against their whole crowd. ¹ 

Ezekiel 33:3

33:3 He sees the sword coming against the land, blows the trumpet, ²  and warns the people, ³ 

Ezekiel 43:15

43:15 and the altar hearth, 7 feet, and from the altar hearth four horns projecting upward.

¹ tn The Hebrew word refers to the din or noise made by a crowd, and by extension may refer to the crowd itself.

² tn Heb “shofar,” a ram’s horn rather than a brass instrument (so throughout the chapter).

³ tn Sounding the trumpet was a warning of imminent danger (Neh 4:18-20; Jer 4:19; Amos 3:6).
