Ezekiel 7:2

7:2 “You, son of man – this is what the sovereign Lord says to the land of Israel: An end! The end is coming on the four corners of the land! ¹ 

Ezekiel 21:25

21:25 “‘As for you, profane and wicked prince of Israel, ² 

whose day has come, the time of final punishment,

Ezekiel 35:5

35:5 “‘You have shown unrelenting hostility and poured the people of Israel onto the blades of a sword ³  at the time of their calamity, at the time of their final punishment.

¹ tn Or “earth.” Elsewhere the expression “four corners of the earth” figuratively refers to the whole earth (Isa 11:12).

² tn This probably refers to King Zedekiah.

³ tn Or “gave over…to the power of the sword.” This phrase also occurs in Jer 18:21 and Ps 63:10.
