When will you come to me?

I will conduct my business with integrity in the midst of my palace. 5 

1 tn Heb “which are in your midst.”

2 sn The actions of removing false gods, becoming ritually clean, and changing garments would become necessary steps in Israel when approaching the Lord in worship.

3 tc The MT has “you will be built up” (תִּבָּנֶה, tibbaneh). But the LXX has “humble yourself” (reading תְּעַנֶּה [tÿ’anneh] apparently). Many commentators read this; Dahood has “you will be healed.”

4 tn Heb “take notice of.”

5 tn Heb “I will walk about in the integrity of my heart in the midst of my house.”
