Abram’s Solution to the Strife

13:1 So Abram went up from Egypt into the Negev. ¹  He took his wife and all his possessions with him, as well as Lot. ² 

Genesis 47:30

47:30 but when I rest ³  with my fathers, carry me out of Egypt and bury me in their burial place.” Joseph ⁴  said, “I will do as you say.”

² tn Heb “And Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all which was his, and Lot with him, to the Negev.”

³ tn Heb “lie down.” Here the expression “lie down” refers to death.
