Genesis 21:23

21:23 Now swear to me right here in God’s name that you will not deceive me, my children, or my descendants. Show me, and the land where you are staying, the same loyalty that I have shown you.”

Genesis 44:20

44:20 We said to my lord, ‘We have an aged father, and there is a young boy who was born when our father was old. The boy’s brother is dead. He is the only one of his mother’s sons left, and his father loves him.’

tn Or “kindness.”

tn Heb “According to the loyalty which I have done with you, do with me and with the land in which you are staying.”

tn Heb “and a small boy of old age,” meaning that he was born when his father was elderly.

tn Heb “he, only he, to his mother is left.”
