Genesis 32:2

32:2 When Jacob saw them, he exclaimed, “This is the camp of God!” So he named that place Mahanaim.

Genesis 41:25-26

41:25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. 41:26 The seven good cows represent seven years, and the seven good heads of grain represent seven years. Both dreams have the same meaning.

tn Heb “and Jacob said when he saw them.”

sn The name Mahanaim apparently means “two camps.” Perhaps the two camps were those of God and of Jacob.

tn Heb “the dream of Pharaoh is one.”

tn Heb “declared.”

tn The active participle here indicates what is imminent.

tn Heb “one dream it is.”
