Isaiah 13:19

13:19 Babylon, the most admired of kingdoms,

the Chaldeans’ source of honor and pride,

will be destroyed by God

just as Sodom and Gomorrah were.

Isaiah 23:13

23:13 Look at the land of the Chaldeans,

these people who have lost their identity!

The Assyrians have made it a home for wild animals.

They erected their siege towers,

demolished its fortresses,

and turned it into a heap of ruins.

Isaiah 47:5

47:5 “Sit silently! Go to a hiding place,

O daughter of the Babylonians!

Indeed, you will no longer be called ‘Queen of kingdoms.’

Isaiah 48:14

48:14 All of you, gather together and listen!

Who among them 10  announced these things?

The Lord’s ally 11  will carry out his desire against Babylon;

he will exert his power against the Babylonians. 12
