2:1 Here is the message about Judah and Jerusalem 1 that was revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz. 2
5:3 So now, residents of Jerusalem, 3
people 4 of Judah,
you decide between me and my vineyard!
11:12 He will lift a signal flag for the nations;
he will gather Israel’s dispersed people 5
and assemble Judah’s scattered people
from the four corners of the earth.
22:8 They 6 removed the defenses 7 of Judah.
At that time 8 you looked
for the weapons in the House of the Forest. 9

2 tn Heb “the word which Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.”
3 map For location see Map5-B1; Map6-F3; Map7-E2; Map8-F2; Map10-B3; JP1-F4; JP2-F4; JP3-F4; JP4-F4.
4 tn Heb “men,” but in a generic sense.
5 tn Or “the banished of Israel,” i.e., the exiles.
7 tn Heb “he,” i.e., the enemy invader. NASB, by its capitalization of the pronoun, takes this to refer to the Lord.
8 tn Heb “covering.”
9 tn Heb “in that day” (so KJV), likewise at the beginning of v. 12.
10 sn Perhaps this refers to a royal armory, or to Solomon’s “House of the Forest of Lebanon,” where weapons may have been kept (see 1 Kgs 10:16-17).
9 tn Heb “The remnant of the house of Judah that is left will add roots below and produce fruit above.”
