Isaiah 24:7

24:7 The new wine dries up,

the vines shrivel up,

all those who like to celebrate ¹  groan.

Isaiah 36:17

36:17 until I come and take you to a land just like your own – a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

Isaiah 62:8

62:8 The Lord swears an oath by his right hand,

by his strong arm: ² 

“I will never again give your grain

to your enemies as food,

and foreigners will not drink your wine,

which you worked hard to produce.

Isaiah 65:8

65:8 This is what the Lord says:

“When ³  juice is discovered in a cluster of grapes,

someone says, ‘Don’t destroy it, for it contains juice.’ ⁴ 

So I will do for the sake of my servants –

I will not destroy everyone. ⁵

² tn The Lord’s right hand and strong arm here symbolize his power and remind the audience that his might guarantees the fulfillment of the following promise.

³ tn Heb “just as.” In the Hebrew text the statement is one long sentence, “Just as…, so I will do….”
