Isaiah 37:37

37:37 So King Sennacherib of Assyria broke camp and went on his way. He went home and stayed in Nineveh. ¹ 

Isaiah 57:17

57:17 I was angry because of their sinful greed;

I attacked them and angrily rejected them, ² 

yet they remained disobedient and stubborn. ³ 

¹ tn Heb “and Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went and returned and lived in Nineveh.”

² tn Heb “and I struck him, hiding, and I was angry.” פָּנַיִם (panayim, “face”) is the implied object of “hiding.”

³ tn Heb “and he walked [as an] apostate in the way of his heart.”
