Isaiah 37:6

37:6 Isaiah said to them, “Tell your master this: ‘This is what the Lord says: “Don’t be afraid because of the things you have heard – these insults the king of Assyria’s servants have hurled against me. ¹ 

Isaiah 48:8

48:8 You did not hear,

you do not know,

you were not told beforehand. ² 

For I know that you are very deceitful; ³ 

you were labeled ⁴  a rebel from birth.

² tn Heb “beforehand your ear did not open.”

³ tn Heb “deceiving, you deceive.” The infinitive absolute precedes the finite verb for emphasis.
