Isaiah 40:27

40:27 Why do you say, Jacob,

Why do you say, Israel,

“The Lord is not aware of what is happening to me, ¹ 

My God is not concerned with my vindication”? ² 

Isaiah 48:7

48:7 Now they come into being, ³  not in the past;

before today you did not hear about them,

so you could not say,

‘Yes, ⁴  I know about them.’

Isaiah 30:22

30:22 You will desecrate your silver-plated idols ⁵ 

and your gold-plated images. ⁶ 

You will throw them away as if they were a menstrual rag,

saying to them, “Get out!”

Isaiah 48:5

before they happened, I predicted them for you,

‘My image did these things,

my idol, my cast image, decreed them.’

Isaiah 36:7
