Isaiah 54:17

54:17 No weapon forged to be used against you will succeed;

you will refute everyone who tries to accuse you.

This is what the Lord will do for his servants –

I will vindicate them,”

says the Lord.

Jeremiah 15:20-21

15:20 I will make you as strong as a wall to these people,

a fortified wall of bronze.

They will attack you,

but they will not be able to overcome you.

For I will be with you to rescue you and deliver you,”

says the Lord.

15:21 “I will deliver you from the power of the wicked.

I will free you from the clutches of violent people.”

Matthew 10:30

10:30 Even all the hairs on your head are numbered.

Luke 21:18

21:18 Yet not a hair of your head will perish.

Romans 8:31

8:31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

tn Heb “and every tongue that rises up for judgment with you will prove to be guilty.”

tn Heb “this is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication from me.”

sn See 1:18. The Lord renews his promise of protection and reiterates his call to Jeremiah.

tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “yet” to indicate the contrast present in this context.

sn Given v. 16, the expression not a hair of your head will perish must be taken figuratively and refer to living ultimately in the presence of God.
