Judges 16:1

Samson’s Downfall

16:1 Samson went to Gaza. There he saw a prostitute and went in to have sex with her.

Judges 4:5

4:5 She would sit under the Date Palm Tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the Ephraimite hill country. The Israelites would come up to her to have their disputes settled.

Judges 4:8

4:8 Barak said to her, “If you go with me, I will go. But if you do not go with me, I will not go.”

Judges 4:18-20

4:18 Jael came out to welcome Sisera. She said to him, “Stop and rest, my lord. Stop and rest with me. Don’t be afraid.” So Sisera stopped to rest in her tent, and she put a blanket over him. 4:19 He said to her, “Give me a little water to drink, because I’m thirsty.” She opened a goatskin container of milk and gave him some milk to drink. Then she covered him up again. 4:20 He said to her, “Stand watch at the entrance to the tent. If anyone comes along and asks you, ‘Is there a man here?’ say ‘No.’”

Judges 13:3

13:3 The Lord’s angelic messenger appeared to the woman and said to her, “You are infertile and childless, but you will conceive and have a son.

Judges 16:7

16:7 Samson said to her, “If they tie me up with seven fresh 10  bowstrings 11  that have not been dried, I will become weak and be just like any other man.”

Judges 16:11

16:11 He said to her, “If they tie me tightly with brand new ropes that have never been used, 12  I will become weak and be just like any other man.”

Judges 19:28

19:28 He said to her, “Get up, let’s leave!” But there was no response. He put her on the donkey and went home. 13 

Judges 4:22

4:22 Now Barak was chasing Sisera. Jael went out to welcome him. She said to him, “Come here and I will show you the man you are searching for.” He went with her into the tent, 14  and there he saw Sisera sprawled out dead 15  with the tent peg in his temple.

Judges 16:5

16:5 The rulers of the Philistines went up to visit her and said to her, “Trick him! Find out what makes him so strong and how we can subdue him and humiliate 16  him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred silver pieces.”

Judges 16:13

16:13 Delilah said to Samson, “Up to now you have deceived me and told me lies. Tell me how you can be subdued.” He said to her, “If you weave the seven braids of my hair 17  into the fabric on the loom 18  and secure it with the pin, I will become weak and be like any other man.”

Judges 16:18

16:18 When Delilah saw that he had told her his secret, 19  she sent for 20  the rulers of the Philistines, saying, “Come up here again, for he has told me 21  his secret.” 22  So the rulers of the Philistines went up to visit her, bringing the silver in their hands.
